Purim UnMasked:
Shadow Shabbat

What’s your shame?
What’s your fear?
What’s your sorrow?
What’s your mask?

Carl Jung called the human shadow “the unknown dark side of the personality” that casts a shadow of psychological projection into the relationships and the way we show up in the world. The best way to tame it is to name it, own it, celebrate it and set it free.

All are welcome to creatively interpret their Shadow in Costume, Dance, Movement, Song, Drumming and More.

“Sing unto God a new song.”
-Psalm 96

If God is already tired, as suggests the Psalm, of hearing the old song, all the more so will ordinary mortals be.
