Shabbat Take Me Here

Shabbat Take Me Higher
Sh’mitah Style Breathe: Creatvity in our Midst
Grazing. Grounding. Creating.

Sh’mitah means “Release” and is the year we let the ground lie fallow. Without the toil of daily labor, this year-long “Sabbath of Sabbaths” invites our imagination to move from the mundane of daily labor and soar with creative imaging.

Sh’mitah Year Shabbat: Breathe offers Community Engagement and Creative Consciousness “in the Pause.” Through Creative Expression, Yoga, Sound Baths, Breath workshops and more, we invite everyone into the “Pleasure of the Pause.”

Seeking Sh’mitah Shabbat Offerings: Open Temple embraces performance artists, musicians, singers, poets, spoken word and other love. Unplug and return to the moment.

No one who is in financial need is turned away. Please email hello@opentemple.org for financial help to attend this event.

Advanced registration is required. We cannot guarantee space or meals without a reservation.

“Sing unto God a new song.”
-Psalm 96

If God is already tired, as suggests the Psalm, of hearing the old song, all the more so will ordinary mortals be.
