Grateful Turkey Project
Thanksgiving reminds us to count our blessings and extend loving kindness to those in need. Open Temple is partnering with Grass Roots Neighbors to provide food and hygiene products to the homeless in our Venice neighborhood.
We invite you to participate in as many aspects of this Project as possible.
Personal Hygiene Product Donations
We’re collecting new hygiene products – soap, shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant, hand sanitize. Make your contribution using our Amazon Wish List or contact us to arrange a drop off at Open Temple.
Volunteer
Sundays between 2 – 7pm: Help sort food and prepare a hot meal
Sundays at 7:30pm: Distribute meals by bike to Venice’s homeless population
Monday to Friday: Sign up to deliver donated groceries to those in need between 12 – 1:30pm
