Drive in Shabbat
Friday, June 19
A parking place of one’s own. Come out and feel again.
Take a shower. Find something nice to wear. Maybe even shave. Do the best all of us can through this time.
And then, show up to Drive-in Shabbat and experience the magic of Jewish Community, Spirituality and Creativity, as that is what our ancestors did, wandering in the desert and all, until they came to Sinai’s outdoor extravaganza experience called Revelation, as it will be Revelatory to get out and dwell amongst others once more.
Can’t wait? Neither can we.
“Sing unto God a new song.”
If God is already tired, as suggests the Psalm, of hearing the old song, all the more so will ordinary mortals be.
