Electric (Winter! Shakespeare!) Camp
Open Temple’s Electric Camp:
A Space for Creative Freedoms
In partnership with Shakespeare Youth Festival
This Winter, Open Temple and Electric Lodge partner with Shakespeare Youth Festival for our second Electric Camp. Our Year One program (summer, winter and spring camps) focuses on Theater, Music, Dance, Art and Social/Emotional Wellness.
Through the past two years, our youngest citizens have proven resilient and adaptive to the demands of the pandemic. Our theater camp invites our campers to discover their inner artist and voice of self-expression.
All children will perform– there are no auditions, and no experience is necessary. Even if your kid has never heard of Shakespeare, if they are drawn to the theater, learning how to act on the stage, and performing with others, this is the camp for them. Camp culminates with a recital, sharing the campers’ work with parents, friends and the community.
The work is challenging, and the kiddos LOVE it. We believe that every child who is drawn to this work should be able to participate, so please let us know if you need financial assistance to be able to attend.
Located at Electric Lodge and Open Temple House, campers will enjoy the facilities’ dance studio, theater, classroom, atelier and outdoor spaces.
