Quarantine Freedom Seder

Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 pm
Via Zoom

We are Living Through a Rising Historic Narrative, and our Torah will be Forever Transformed through this Time. Torah glows most brightly when it is allowed to do what it does best – Turn and Return – as a Sefer Torah, in its essence, is a spinning symbol of Adaptation and Renewal. Our Rabbinic Tradition continues to re-write the “how-tos” of Jewish Law; and this Passover offers a prime opportunity to do that – this year, in Cyberspace; next year, in Jerusalem.

Rabbi Lori and Open Temple’s Creative Torah Academy created the Quarantine Haggadah 5780: Finding our Freedom.

Through prompts created by our children, ritual moments, music and multi-media, our seder is interactive and asks the question:
What does Passover observance teach us about this historic time we are living through.

With Rabbi Lori, Zach Puchtel, Rafaelle Cohen, and The Open Temple Creative Torah Academy Students.

“Sing unto God a new song.”
-Psalm 96

If God is already tired, as suggests the Psalm, of hearing the old song, all the more so will ordinary mortals be.
