High Holidays: The Building

2:00 – 6:00 pm (Blessing of the Animals: 4:00 pm)

Open Temple House

This year, in preparation for the celebration of Sukkot, the Jewish celebration of the harvest, we will be bringing together the Jewish and Jew-ishly curious, to a multi-day celebration of making and feasting. Together we will build a pergola, green the space around the new Open Temple house on Electric and Milwood, create glass mezuzot, hug bunnies, goats and turtles at our petting zoo, and also invite everyone to bring their four legged friends at 4:00 pm for a Blessing of the Animals.

Thanks to the Abbot Kinney Festival for their generous support of their project!

“Sing unto God a new song.”
-Psalm 96

If God is already tired, as suggests the Psalm, of hearing the old song, all the more so will ordinary mortals be.
