Tu B'Shevat Family Hike

Sunday January 28
3:00 pm

Tu b’Shevat is the New Year of the Trees. As Open Temple’s Creative Torah Academy, and our community, explore life cycle rituals, sacred space and sacred time, our class takes a Tiyul (field trip) to Temescal Canyon Park this year for our hike.

Please come prepared for a surprise family ritual. We encourage ALL members of the family to attend, including dogs (please note, all dogs must stay on-leash!).

Thanks for making Open Temple an integral part of  your family’s Jewish Journey.

Details:
3:00 pm: Meet at Temescal Canyon Park LOWER parking lot (just left of entrance)

If it is full, please find street parking and walk to the entrance.

3:15 pm: Hike begins.
3:45 pm: Tree Ritual
4:15: Hike to the bridge.
5:00 pm: End of hike with invitation to group dinner at Reel Inn!

If God is already tired, as suggests the Psalm, of hearing the old song, all the more so will ordinary mortals be. -Alcalay (20th c. Jewish lexicographer)
