Green Action with Open Temple and IKAR
Brentwood’s Westridge Trail to the historic Nike Missile Site

This moderate 7 mile round trip hike with 900 ft of elevation boasts great views of the ocean, downtown and the valleys. At the halfway point under a wooden picnic gazebo we will have our lunch & Tu b’Shevat event. Restrooms and a water fountain are at the halfway point, but not at the trailhead.

Directions: From 405 exit Sunset Blvd and go west 2.4 mi on Sunset Blvd. Turn right (North) at Mandeville Canyon Rd. Go 0.3 mi, then Turn left at Westridge Rd. Follow Westridge to the end, approximately 2.1 miler. Meet at the trailhead at the end of Westridge. Free Street parking next to trailhead.  We recommend carpooling!

What To Bring: Water (one liter minimum), hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and your potluck picnic lunch. Hiking boots or trail running shoes are highly recommended. Assorted fruit and nuts in honor of Tu B’Shevat are encouraged.
