High Holidays: Tashlich

Monday, September 30th, 2019
1:00 pm.

Kites. Picnic. Beach.
Tashlich.

From finding meaning in Wonderbread (makes an amazing softball for sins!) to personal mussar mentor, Open Temple’s Tashlich on the beach is a contemplative and communal departure from the drum circles further north. Rabbi Lori Shapiro leads the ritual with sand sculptures of sin, regret and “everything that is evanescent” as we focus on the temporal nature of the ritual moment. Open Temple’s Tasclich Ritual invites community reflection about from where we have come and to where are we going.

FREE – please reserve your tickets at Eventbrite.

“Sing unto God a new song.”
-Psalm 96

If God is already tired, as suggests the Psalm, of hearing the old song, all the more so will ordinary mortals be.
