A Place for Parents at Open Temple House
Second Wednesday of the Month. 7:45 pm – 9:15 pm.
A monthly parenting group for dads. This evening group is for dads of children ages 2-10 years old. Fathers can talk about being a dad, discuss development and discipline questions, learn from other dads and bring up any other issues as well. You do not have to sign up for more than one class. These groups are held the second Wednesday of every month (except August).

Barbara Olinger has her Masters in Social Work and has worked with children and families in both educational and therapeutic settings for over 35 years. This has included being a Child and Family Therapist, the Supervising Clinician in an outpatient mental health clinic, a co-founder of a co-operative preschool, and Director of Family Development at the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside. In her current private practice, she focuses on supporting parents of young children and preschool teacher training. She has two grown sons.
She is the author of the parenting book, Growing From the Roots: A Practical Guide to the Art of Parenting, now on DVD along with Welcoming Your Second Child.
